RE: Racing on twitch with Beyond Chaos - Tenkarider - 06-07-2016

The rule we used was simply: you can run away only in case of danger... i think in my mind i decided to run away mostly when one of the first 5 situation
i wrote above were triggered.

The fun fact is that when i died i said something like: "if you allow me to escape no matter what, i'll try to finish the run in those 16 minutes left(they actually were 29, oh well...)" after that i kept playing, i was too much focused to hear what you racers said and despite that i kept playing respecting the rule...
probably this contraddiction was one of the reasons LK2 and Cecil were laughing for Laugh

I'm not sure such a strict and complicated standard is the best way of going about this. I think "Use common sense and we'll be fine" is a better approach in this case.

RE: Racing on twitch with Beyond Chaos - Tenkarider - 06-08-2016

that wasn't even a standard to propose... it was more like my "common sense" mental algorythm i indirectly use for that type of BC race
now you know how my mind works more or less when i have to respect that rule  Tongue

Any opinion on the details i added for propose #3?

Of course, we can also do the race without tweak the escape rule, anyway...

I agree with lockirby, too many run away rules might be more an obstacle than a solution. It was fine last stream, I saw no abuse.

I'm here to propose as informely discussed a noob race, for randomizer noobs. Potential candidates:

@Kugawattan
@JWhiteLXXXIX
@"Gi Nattak"
@"B-run"
@madsiur

On advice duty:

@Cecil188
@Lockirby2 (?)

Show your interest by replying!

Sounds like fun to me. Give me a date when you've got one, I'll try my best to show up.

RE: Racing on twitch with Beyond Chaos - JWhiteLXXXIX - 06-10-2016

id be up for it

RE: Racing on twitch with Beyond Chaos - Lockirby2 - 06-10-2016

I'll be there too.

Will the "advice" guys be hanging out in voice chat?

@Tenkarider Okay, I understand the "common sense mental algorithm" thing. I generally keep rules like that in my head as well when I'm making decisions on this sort of thing, even if they're not formalized and nobody else is obligated to follow them. I think that's probably a good place to leave it, to be honest.

We could record the comments to go over the stream compilation or recording.

Cool, i'll be among viewers list to say the biggest bullshit of the whole stream for lulz  Laugh
If you also gimme the sword i'll slice the neck of all spammers that get in the way!

RE: Racing on twitch with Beyond Chaos - B-Run - 06-13-2016

I would be interested, except that my availability is extremely limited... if we were doing something like a non-live race... like we did with the old speedrun events of days past, I could work something up cause i can do it as I have time... but my live time is scarce. Tho I will keep an eye on the thread in case timing lines up.
