Project64 2.1.0.1 Hi- Res textures Instaling Tutorial - JWhiteLXXXIX - 07-09-2015 spent a long time doing this figured id post my findings and settings to help any1 else that needs this info: Benifits of 2.1.0.1? its a damn sight faster than any other n64 emulator with hi res stuff, and works with glide64 the best if you don't care about hi res stuff try 1964, i found it to be really fast and easy to use Setting up: First get a copy of project 64 2.1 http://www.pj64-emu.com/ then download Glide64 FINAL 8 2012 version http://www.emutalk.net/threads/54874-Glide64-Final Unzip glide 64 into plugin/GFX Go into the wrapper folder and cut and paste glide3x.dll into the main project 64 folder the one with the project 64.exe file in your plugins can be changed via the settings option in pj64, directories is also in there u will need to modify both directories usually starts pointing to the save folder.. i dont know why lol also audio should nearly always be set to sync to game some games require having the 8mb option checked in the settings rom settings tab, these are mostly games with an expansion pack also some games require you to config your controller settings so it has a memory pack (to save) i use jabo direct 7.1.6 i suggest you do the same Where to place textures? Project64 2.1/plugin/GFX/hires_texture/your rom name u must create the hires_texture folder in GFX name it exactly that The _is very important as is not having an s on the end of texture or Project64 2.1/plugin/GFX/cache if you have no cache folder create it it should be called cache and go in the GFX folder these folders depend on the file you downloaded if it's a full pack the first one, if its two .DAT files the second Texture packs IMPORTANT!! the following two files may be needed to patch your project 64.exe http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/attachments/laa_2_0_4-zip.34392/ http://www.ntcore.com/files/4gb_patch.zip this is because some of the files are over 2 gig. These two programs allow project64 to process a large amount of data i had to use one to get djipi/bluedart majora's mask to work. i suggest applying both MUST BE EU ROM VERSION!
