What do you mean? Btw the best choice in the universe, among Super Mario games is Super Mario World: the best as vanilla, the easiest to hack, without speaking of the fact that basically you can customize EVERYTHING!
If you have some trouble i might give it a second try, to make work everything as desired... after all, the first try was a rush of 1 hour among sites, programs and files... if done properly it should work.

I'm having such a problem getting this all to work... Does anyone have the ability to complete this Mario to Peach hack for SMW? I'm just horrible at graphics hacking...

I just gave it a shot and came up empty...although I will try some more. But I see the author of that patch is very active on that site, having just signed in an hour ago. If all else fails maybe send her a PM over SMW Central for some assistance.

I'm going to try that a second time, luckily before joining to FF6Hacking.com i did some experience with SMW hacking... i'll be happy to use what i learnt for doing something useful.

Thanks but I'm not sure about this anymore. I just in one sitting played SMW from start to finish and completed all 96 exits along with beating Bowser and I do not believe changing Mario to Peach is going to be possible. Mario appears in several cutscenes destroying the Koopa castles as well as in the ending getting kissed BY Peach.
So I need to come up with another idea...
Ok so I'm abandoning doing this for Super Mario World and I'm going to try and have this done for the NES Super Mario Bros. instead. So, now that we've gone a little easier is there still anyone who wants to partake in this one? I'm going to do some basic text editing and try and add a few little things to the game levels but would like to see if we can replace Mario with Peach or another female.
Anyone know of any NES games where a female sprite approximately Mario's size that I can maybe use to replace?
Ok, I've ripped Peach (big and small) from Super Mario Bros 2 and the Cherry graphic (wife LOVES cherries). It just so happens my wife loves the original Super Mario Bros the most, it is like her favorite game so I'll go with this.
Can anyone replace Mario with this Peach and replace the fire flower power up with the cherry? I also need to have Peach at the end of the game replaced by Mario.

Actually ALL Mario sprites are replaced from Peach ones, SMW Peach sprites are so few that there's not really much to replace.
If you move out to NES Super Mario, then i'll hardly be able to help you further...
PS. i saw graphics to replace inside the game, with YY-chr and they are really few, but the true problem is that for god-only-know which reason, all the graphics are splitted in pieces and shuffled as if they want to give us troubles on purpose ;[

Ok I've patched the NES Super Mario Bros with the Peach edition patch and it works well, now I need the fire flower replaced with the cherries. I cannot find the fire flower, is it all jumbled up? I'm using tile molester, which I like better than yy-chr but I am not a graphics hacker so I'm not surprised I'm unable to find it. LOL
I'm running out of time, I need to finish this ROM in a week so I can give my repro guy enough time to make it and ship it out.
*EDIT*
Ok so I found it and the fire flower graphic are split up and they use the same tile for the flower part and duplicate it and flip it horizontally to save space. Maybe I need to replace the mushroom with the cherries.

Ok so I've replaced the Mushroom with the Cherries and it looks great.
If anyone has anything better I'd love to see it.*EDIT 3*

What do you mean? Will this guy create a cartridge based on this rom?
