Remixes, covers and arrangements - madsiur - 12-13-2013

What are the Final Fantasy (or other VG) remixes, covers or arrangements you cherish the most?

I have a lot but selected four songs, three because I could listen to them over and over and one for its originality:

1. Frog's Theme (Novoiski remix) The original being my favorite CT song, this remix mix well modern sound with chiptune sound. This song makes me feel happy.

2. The Highwind Takes to the Skies (X'mas Collection music) An appropriate song for this time of the year. The song has a Christmas feel with some chiptune and symphonic elements as well as an nice feminine voice doing back vocals. I never get tired of it.

3. Bridge to Eternity (Within the Giant OC remix) Seriously I could loop this song for 3 hours and do homework or other stuff on the computer and not get tired of the music playing. I can't describe what exactly make me like this remix so much, maybe it's some sort of "non-stop feel" the song has.

4. The Impresario (Opera Sequence cover) I discovered this song recently and I was quite surprise on how the continuous lyrics fits well with the music. It does have similarities with some Queen songs (Bohemian Rhapsody in mind) and it's a purely "rock opera" song. A really original and nice discovery.

Best Dancing Mad cover of them all (and there's quite a few).

As for other video games, I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm the proud caretaker of one of the biggest collections of VG covers on the internet, and I torrent it out once every few years to anyone who's interested.

I must say I'm impressed. I like metal covers with fast parts.

I'd guess you've watched my BNW LLG Hidon battle before, so you've heard this one:

Yeah this is quite relaxing.

Damn, I wasn't aware that Phoenix Project did anything beyond their first two albums. I need to check into their Chrono Trigger stuff.
