Quadrupedal characters and spriting. - ntzrmtthihu777 - 12-16-2012

So, as you may have read, I am working on a FFVII to snes port, doing well so far. One problem is Red XIII/Nanaki, a quadrupedal dog type character. Normal ffvi characters are 24hX16w, is it possible to use the opposite, 16hX24w?

No unfortunately not.

You may want to check out Atmaweapon and Interceptor ( found in the Database section) sprite sheet. They are both quadrupedal sprite.

yea modifying atma weapon would probably be your easiest bet, since interceptor is a bit small to be converted to red

There is also my cagnazzo and antlion sprite you could check and modify

Make him walk on two legs, he's had practice! =p

Ah! Thank you, I had been using the interceptor sprite as a placeholder, but I should be able to work something out from the atma weapon spritesheet! Now if I could just resolve some palette issues ~grumble grumble~

Lol, right? I was thinking of doing him as a moomba, like from FFVIII and others. If I am not mistaken that's what he was anyway, just a different form/sort of moomba
