Big Bang vs Almagest - Zeemis - 11-09-2012

Signature moves of each games respective primary antagonist, Big Bang and Almagest were destructive end-game abilities.
Which ability is stronger in your opinion, and why?
Which gave you the most trouble?

Big Bang is objectively the stornger attack, absolutely no doubt, it has No element, meaning even though technically in FFV you only recieve holy resistance in the bonus dungeon, overall the spell Almagest is potentially resistable, while bigbang is not.
Neither gave me trouble.

RE: Big Bang vs Almagest - CrumpledMedal - 11-09-2012

Big Bang, because it did major damage to both the characters and the viewers eyes as well, took my eyes sometime to recover after watching the most visual-pain inducing attack I have ever seen.

RE: Big Bang vs Almagest - Abel.Emporia - 11-10-2012

Big Bang, because it was both non-elemental and was always launched within 2-3 turns of my party members attacks. Honestly, it always had the chance to wipe you out the second time around. [The damage would often double after the first release.] A lot of times it would take out Rydia, and nearly wipe out Edge. Cecil often times had to use White Magic just to keep Rosa, Edge, or himself from dying. So Big Bang is the bigger damage dealer even against a larger party than 5. What's even more alarming is that if you're inexperienced with the Original Final Fantasy IV, and make the mistake of casting Holy, or Meteor, after Big Bang, Zeromus would counter with Mealstrom and take out your party because of the Psyche Status.
