New 2D FF: Final Fantasy Legends Discussion! - Zeemis - 08-22-2011

Hi guys, if you haven't seen yet, Square-Enix is making a new Final Fantasy that's 2D that does use the Job system!. That's right, fully sprited! Check it out

From what I can tell, these are the classes based on what I know:

Freelancer?

Nice, It seems very similar to FF5's system. I'm guessing the one with the white glasses is Chemist?

I think going about it with more of a FF6 style would be better

Since I've got a pretty good memory to FF games, compared to my actual life. I am compelled to state that I am right.

Otherwise, can't wait to see what Square fleshes out, seems like they're going back to the glory days, without the 'Enix'

As I am compelled to say this:

You are in error in saying the sprites with the visor are chemists and I have evidence towards my point that those are either psychics or tricksters based on the following two images:

Whereas what you say is chemist is only in Final Fantasy V and they look like this:

And if I am not mistaken those sprites look almost dangerously close to the concept art of these characters for this game here which is released in Japan on cellphones in episodic format:

Okay, I didn't think you would be as anal about my assertion. I concede that I am wrong, however you are wrong too.

The Trickster is a Job in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, usable by the Bangaa only.

No, just no, no way 10-2 is an absolute flop it ruined all credibility Square Enix had with me. To even suggest such a thing is outright blasphemy. I will not hear it.


Thinking on it there is a more plausible answer to this that perhaps I overlooked, and didn't consider.
