I see, but your post would had fit better as a PM, instead of an actual post in the thread Objection!

RE: About desperation moves... - Gi Nattak - 07-07-2014

So you do it again here - just HAD to add that Setzer at the end didn't you lol? Are you addicted to emoticons? I agree a PM might have been better, but in this case I'd rather everyone know how I feel about the matter not just as a member of staff but a visitor to your thread(s).

RE: About desperation moves... - Tenkarider - 07-07-2014

Since my previous post was an objection and Setzer stands for the term "objection", i thought it would have been a proper choice XD

PS. i'm not addicted, but one of the things i like most of this site is the possibility of using ff6 characters as emoticons.

I see that some people NEVER use a single emoticon... i think it's a waste, not less negative than using too much of them, if you ask me...

RE: About desperation moves... - BTB - 07-07-2014

Ok, I should clarify. In order for any enemy to have more than 16 bits of HP, you have to put "lives" in their script (i.e. when their HP falls below a certain threshold, bring them back to life). Typically, this is put in the reactive half of the enemy script (after the first FF break), which is checked every time something hits the enemy in question unless the attack has "prevents final counters" property (X-Zone, Cleave, Snare). Desperation attacks seem to have this property hard-coded into them, which can cause problems with the scripting tricks mentioned above.

Desperation prevents counter?

Then my Czar ignores the rule Laugh he counters it, no matter what.
I may try further tests in order to confirm it at 100%

But i was actually planning to edit my script in order do deny the counter of Czar when attacked by a desperation, so that using them on Czar may actually starting to make a sense.

I think emoticon are annoying as f*** if they are too much used... So are giant gifs. Remember that not everyone love emoticon. I prefer not use them because they are higher than 1 line and f**k up the text alignment. Once again Tenkarider, even if you don't break any rule, you do everything to the extreme. Not sure it's a good trait to have.

RE: About desperation moves... - BTB - 07-08-2014

Well, I'm not 100% sure, but my experience has shown it to be the case - I once had Celes take down the Guardian in the first phase of the fight with a desperation attack, which by all accounts shouldn't have resulted in a win.

RE: About desperation moves... - Tenkarider - 07-08-2014

Since when the guardian in Kefka's tower has hp bars? he should have 60000 hp...
Anyway for my Czar could be an exception due to the customized hp loop script designed only for him by me(actually i don't even know how is the original script)

PS. (for Madsiur: ) anyway i'll try to lower emoticons number...

RE: About desperation moves... - BTB - 07-08-2014

Yeah, I should have clarified that I was talking about the Guardian in Brave New World.

Just to know it... how it works in short? Wink
