FF6 Hacking

Wasn't there a patch around here that would somehow sinc-up the battle palettes with overworld palettes in order to make the sprite editing process easier?  I'm-a try my hand at sprite editing again, and I remember reading about it somehow, but I can't find it listed anywhere.  Did I imagine it, or is it a real patch?
