I want to make a recording of the sound effects from FF mystic quest in battle (i.e. the exit spell and enemy death sound effect), but my recording always has a muffling effect (might be the limitation of my computer). The ram code to silence the battle music is 7E050B00.

well on snes9x playing the smv as avi will make the conversion to avi. There are smv converters online, google it but I'm not sure which result you'll get..

you can convert smv to avi? whenever I record avi, there is no audio.
In snes9x you record a smv movie, then after you select "Play movie", once your movie start playing you select "Record AVI". There will be no sound while recording the avi but once movie end playing, play your avi file and you'll have recorded the sound.
I record the avi file of the smv that is being played and nothing is happening.
I am getting a video with no sound. I play the smv on snes9x 1.5.5 and then record with the avi and no changes occur when recording normally with avi. I do not have the compressor you mentioned so let me see if it works when I download it.
I have the smv file listed below. lagarith is not working on my computer. if anyone needs to silence the music, the code is 7E050B00/
