Hey everyone! The results are in and I have to say it was HAAAAAAAAARD to pick. You guys did such an amazing job with this, I was blown away. You guys have some talent. In the end we had 16 entries (unfortunately no gamefaqs or twitter submissions [their loss]), so I had the tough choice of narrowing it down to just a handful of winners.
The premise was simple; the idea was to edit a dialog box and completely change the screenshot because of it. We had some bazaar entries, so let's see who won!
First off, Honorable Mentions!
This entry by Tenkarider definitely added a different feel to the game. Tenka dared to go the less-traveled, non-comedic route, and ended with a completely game-altering scenario. If fact, many of us, as children, thought the floating continent was going to be the final dungeon, and this work might be what we imagined! Good job, Tenka.
If Tenka went serious and game altering... this submission by Cecil188 did the exact opposite. I probably lol'ed harder at this than any other entry in the contest... it was a great way to pull something completely new and unexpected out of an otherwise innocuous scene.
Now for the winners! Let's check out our Runner-Ups.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for. The Winner!
Thank you everyone for participating in the event! Everyone who made submissions received a "Thank You" from me for your forum statistics, and the Honorable Mentions and Winners here will have their entries added to the "Random Screenshot" box while browsing the site! Great job to everyone.
Happy Hacking!

3rd Place:
Lockirby2 goes DARK here. Being caught off-guard by this and the fact that it seriously brings into question Celes' character and is a simultaneous commentary on the World of Ruin earns this entry 3rd. Honestly, even tho its a winner, I try not to think about it as much as possible...
2nd Place:
Madsiur brings a touch of real life into Narshe. I don't know whether or not Arvis read the pamphlet or not, but the Narshe Guards definitely converted me into a believer of this edit. Terra, at least, probably had a much easier time escaping Narshe; although, not without an interesting worldview being the first memories her amnesiac mind gets to create. Can you IMAGINE how this might have affected our protagonist throughout the World of Balance?

1st Place:
Admission time people... I TRIED these things when I was younger. A perfect blend of changing the game, humor, real-life rumors, and nostalgia took the win here. Even the fact that there should be more (much more) after this dialog box was completely appropriate. This hit all the checkmarks and makes us all a bit wistful for the return of General Leo... I might have to go download the General Leo Edition and play it now just to satisfy the itch.
CONGRATULATIONS JACKIMUS!
