Corundum's Final Fantasy VI site

Last update: May 18, 2006

Welcome to my collection of information and links relating to Final Fantasy VI (also known as Final Fantasy III). Most of this information is related to hacking (editing) the game, since that's my current area of interest, but there's also some content about the game itself. I don't have any FAQs or walkthroughs here; if that's what you're looking for, try GameFAQs. If, however, you want to find out what I know about the history of the game and the way it works (and maybe even learn something…), stick around!

Gameplay information

Character Guide from the Final Fantasy III Player's Guide.

All about the mathematics of the Dice and Fixed Dice.

Data information

Treasure chest contents, straight from the game data and labeled as to in-game location. Also available as plain text. Now with the location of every chest in the game! (Updated December 13, 2005)

Descriptions of all the locations in the game, including when and where they appear.

Patches, programs, and other files

Patches I've made. Currently the only such patch is the ludicrously pointless EasyBlitz, which reduces all Blitzes to single button commands.

Information about Magitek, my (very much incomplete and currently on hold) Final Fantasy VI editor for Mac OS X. Don't hold your breath waiting for this one, folks. (Non-updated May 6, 2005)

SixTek White and SixTek Black, fonts of my own creation inspired by Final Fantasy VI's font. Kinda ugly, to tell the truth, but maybe you've got some use for them.

The optimistically named MapEditor (new May 18, 2006), a Java program (source code included) that loads and displays the game's maps based on my current understandng of how the game stores and constructs them. Features, bugs, and limitations:

Incomplete list of Final Fantasy VI hacking links, in no particular order

Master ZED's Unoriginal White Sheet, which despite its name is filled with original and essential information about hacking and bugs, as well as some very handy patches.

Terii Senshi's Final Fantasy VI Encyclopedia, source of loads of gameplay information, bugfix patches, and some very comprehensive hacking documents.

Imzogelmo's Not-Even-Penultimate ROM Resource. Most of his stuff is well over my head at this point, but what little of it I understand is very cool.

Djibriel's Collapse of Heaven and Earth, home to extensive information about dummied data and the mythical, historical, and series background behind many aspects of the game.

Mnrogar's Den, which has save states, the Advanced Tactics Quiz, an Excel worksheet to calculate damage, excellent forums, and some hacking documents that I don't yet understand.

assassin17's so-called Barren Webpage, with some very nice patches and useful documents.
