Poco, you should somehow get the coming-out-of-water animation that monsters use in this instead. Have them appear multiple places on the screen.

@ Zeemis, the problem with that is that the water intro is an intro, it would affect the animation horribly, the fact is, with the water intro animation itself, the enemy will either go underground and stay underground, or come out of the ground every time it got hit (and this is just the intro, when combined with the other effects........lets just go with "eh...nooo" lol)

Here's a suggestion I have that may or may not be doable.

1. Sound effects. That's the #1 thing missing. It feels so bland without them.

2. Using Cyan's Cleaver animation with the kick so it looks like Sabin's kicking everything and are then hit with water.

3. Trying using Aqua Rake water animation with the suggested Cyan Cleaver animation to see if this new combination still look weird.

the sound has the water edge sound effect, its just low

the thing about your suggestion is with cleaver it wouldn't come out right due to the fact that 1 specific animation needs to be on animation 1 byte 1 and that's where the kick is, the kick wont appear anywhere else (and look normal anyway), as for the aqua rake or el nino, they take up the whole screen, and when those effects are implemented it gets glitchy

what I could do, if I decide to make water kick hit only 1 target is, tweak it so that it has the el nino bubbles when it hits the target (similar to my water spells)

You select the 14 bytes animation string menu, then input the bytes in the same order:

Anim1: DB 81 78
Anim2: F5 01 78
Anim3: FF FF 00
Special: DB 81
Sound: 5F
???: 6E
Repeat Speed: 10
