Out of all the characters, which one would you have liked to see have more allocated story time? Is there a particular event that comes to mind that you would have liked to see play out for them? Or a backstory elaborated on more? Questions that deserve answers to?

Probably alone in this regard, but I'm gonna go with Strago. We literally know nothing about him. Even Relm gets a small bit of background through Shadow and her dreams, but all we know about Strago is he's some old man descended from magic users.

I would go with Gogo. Maybe that would put more light on his background...

I voted Setzer. Aside from his one-and-done backstory routine in Darill's Tomb, he doesn't really have much of a backstory, despite his character seeming as if he would have tons of stories to tell around the campfire. That's what it seems like to me anyway(unless I'm forgetting some character development).

Gau, because he's not an optional or temporary character, but has the least reason to be part of the team of the others. It seems as though it could be expanded on to give him a larger reason to be there.

Well... about Gau we already know everything, it's only possible add new details, nothing else...

We know few about Gogo, but at least he also appear in FF5(still i don't know if they are connected)...

Anyway I've chosen Shadow: there are lots of potential missing pieces about him, besides that would automatically tell more about Relm and and Strago too.

Anyway, if you ask me, the char who has told the least about himself is Cyan: you know that he belongs to Doma empire and has a family, stop.

In WoR doesn't come out anything from his past, for example: Why he hates/has fear of machines so much? just to tell...

Also Banon share the same destiny: He's the leader of rebels... stop.
Aside from past, he won't even appear in the WoR, He has a name and a non-generic sprite: Can we simply accept that he's dead while the WoB was collapsing, without even see him die?

Banon dies in a raft accident. To celebrate his victory, he went on a raft ride but when the world was thorn apart he drowned in the river.

Actually, Hironobu Sakaguchi said "Use your imagination" when asked what happened to Banon.

Seriously?

Anyway "use your immagination" is the most used sentence from game companies Laugh

Given my experiences with rewriting most of the game's dialogue, I'm gonna say Relm. This is mostly because I feel that everyone else was given adequate time (Umaro and Gogo don't count, Mog is intended to be a blatant corporate mascot insertion, and Gau is... well, Gau) and I'd enjoy more opportunities to make her be vulgar.
