Sephiroth COMPLETE!!! - LordSutebenu - 01-09-2011 Here's a teaser for the next sprite project I'm doing: MAJOR UPDATE!!!: Here it is in its complete and pure form: Sephiroth FF6 style! UPDATE 7/30/2011: UPDATE 8/12/2011: Gloves-off: Here he is with his hair changed; I personally (and Zeemis) thinks this looks much better than before: RE: Sephiroth Teaser - .Gilgamesh// - 01-09-2011 My only complaint is the hair is a little feminine. Make it a bit sharper. RE: Sephiroth Teaser - Twinees - 01-09-2011 I suggest you either make the green in his eye only one pixel, or lower the saturation though with lower saturation it might mean they wont look like mako infused eyes (its up to you in the end). Could you make the top of the bangs a bit sharper, rather than curved and remove the slight bit of banding on his head? Hope this helps in some way. Other than that, I'm really liking this atm. RE: Sephiroth Teaser - FEOK - 01-09-2011 this is awsome much better than the 1 we hav already the eyes could be a little darker but they do represent the maco energy thingy (i really need 2 start playing ff7 again :p) other than that, i love it ^_^ RE: Sephiroth Teaser - LordSutebenu - 01-09-2011 (01-09-2011, 02:32 AM)Twinees Wrote: I suggest you either make the green in his eye only one pixel, or lower the saturation though with lower saturation it might mean they wont look like mako infused eyes (its up to you in the end). Could you explain to me what you mean about the "banding" part? I'm afraid I don't understand. RE: Sephiroth Teaser - Twinees - 01-09-2011 Sure, this is an example of banding, when two rows (or more) of pixels are put together continuously. though sometimes this can be unavoidable in smaller sprites. I hope you don't mind editing it your sprite slightly to show what i mean? (ps. you might want to patch up the little hole in his head now... and don't ff6 usually have a little black outline around them? i also forgot to edit the 3rd sprite's head, my bad) RE: Sephiroth Teaser - LordSutebenu - 01-09-2011 I guess you can kind of call it my specific style to use a darker tone for the outline of the hair instead of black. But I see what you mean. Thank you. =) RE: Sephiroth Teaser - Twinees - 01-09-2011 (01-09-2011, 02:04 PM)Sutebenu sempai Wrote: I guess you can kind of call it my specific style to use a darker tone for the outline of the hair instead of black. sounds perfectly fine to me, i probably prefer it that way. good job RE: Sephiroth Teaser - FEOK - 01-09-2011 i noticed that Ren also used that style, eg. the lightning we made RE: Sephiroth Teaser - LordSutebenu - 01-09-2011 That is true FEOK, it would make since though since we learned how to sprite together. |
