List of unused captions - BTB - 02-07-2016
Another piece of BNW's internal documentation that I thought might be of some use to the community at large is a comprehensive list of captions that are not used in vanilla. I currently have this separated into two lists: captions that I am SURE are not used, and captions that I am PRETTY SURE are not used. As Synchysi is the coding half of Brave New World, he would know far better than myself.

All the probablys look okay, except I'm pretty sure 1241 ULTROS: "N'ghooo!
And it only weighs 4 tons_!" is used the second time around, if the timer runs out when getting to Ultros, like it branches to that after failing once, I think.
A couple other's are in the event code but are never called/branched to, so yeah unused.
EDIT: can confirm that is the case with caption 1241, it gets used after failing.

217 is used for that old man who drinks rum, if you talk to him in a soldier uniform, in Locke's scenario. Although, I think the original game you can't possibly do that.
1654 for sure is unused, a duplicate of 1655 for some reason.

You can do it: you have to kick ass to the first M-tek(just not wear an uniform)
Then you must steal the uniform to one of the 2 Officiers and go to Oldman's house.

Ah OK. I thought the M-tek soldier NPC might respawn after a battle with a green dude (stealing clothes).

Updated the main post.
Just out of curiosity, is there any interest in a full dialogue map? As I've been editing dialogue, I've been taking notes on where each caption goes. It's an incomplete list, since I've only noted captions that Brave New World changes or key lines that seem to go in weird places. I guess it might come in useful?

I would definitely be interested in this but it's not vital, so if I were you I wouldn't put too much work into it.
