fair enough, all what i was saying is my opinion about shadow feature.

there's only one way to know which one is the strongest...
(on a side note my boss doesn't aim to be the strongest ever in videogames, which would also be difficult to make a comparison between
different battle systems and gameplays, etc. he just wants to be the strongest among FF6 custom bosses, without changing vanilla
mechanics)

Well, did a nice stream of runs again today boys.
Points of interest:

1) Managed to bump into that elusive R-Sword skill again. Locke - who actually played his true role in the story - had it. It handled business like usual.

2) Mithril Knives were casting STRAY (yes, the summon).
Like all summons casted from weapons - Stray only harassed the victim of the blade swing, as opposed to the entire group of opponents. Nice early means of setting confuse.

Embarrassment of the Day:

There were 2 random seeds I did that managed to sneak a Monster-in-a-box inside the very first lootable object - the clock in Arvis' house! I fell to BOTH of these encounters relatively quickly. The viewers in the stream were very entertained and coined this instance:

"Getting CLOCKED".

So humiliating.
Sad

lol, i find kinda fashinating "monster-in-a-clock"s actually i love them  Wink
you should make a post when you start a run(or few hours before it happens) and put the link as well

I don't know in which period of the day you stream but, if i'm there in that period and hopefully not too much busy, then i'd not mind
watching some BC survival stream... say you stream more or less at those hours(also 1 hour or two before now), then it would be a good period for me

i dunno the others...

Cecil, if you're still here, I'd like to know where that rewind key bind is, because SNES9x does not seem to want to show it's existence for me. Smile

Sorry I couldn't show up on time for the Stream, Quik. I'll catch the replay.

OH, and I didn't actually know you could have letters in the seeds, I thought that makes it blow up.
And you should totally have a seed someday called. "Crazy Daisy"
And use the partyparty command on that one.

By the way, Imp armor set on your starting character is going to just guarantee you're going to die. Smile
Your non-magic defense is so bad I think it improves if you take it off. Smile
Oh, by the way, Sprint Shoes do have the ability to teach you a random low tier spell usually in Beyond Chaos.

Go to Emulation > Settings to find the options to turn rewind on. You'll see "Rewind Buffer" and "Rewind Granularity", which you'll have to set to non-zero values. In order to bind the rewinds to some input key, you'll need to go to Input > Hotkey Configuration and select Page 2. You should see a "Rewind" field.

If you see none of these, you need to update SNES9x to a newer version.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 12-18-2016

on a side note rewind is not much different from loading a recent savestate... just a bit more shameless.
how would you use it, anyway?

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Cecil188 - 12-18-2016

I use rewinds in a few instances:
-When I misinput a command and target the wrong thing(Mostly happens when I'm targeting an ally during a side attack; targeting is weird
-When I'm betting items in the Colosseum, because you can't go back after choosing the item to bet...
-If something strange has happened and I want to record that for my YouTube channel

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 12-18-2016

well i guess it makes sense for the third thing in particular
