I see. It seems that Dice/Fixed Dice use the weapon's hit rate to determine how many dice to throw (3 or more = 3 dice, 2 or less = 2 dice). I have some other things I want to look into before pushing another version of BC, but if you want to fix it yourself, the byte is at 0x1859B1 (unheadered).

First, one thing, how in the world did Ultros show up for the Final Fight with Kefka on Deranged Squirel Fighter's stream?
I mean, I knew Kefka was secretly controlled by Ultros all along and all, but still. Tongue

That made me laugh like crazy.

Second, for the Fixed Dice fix, how would I adjust bytes like that?

Ultros can appear because in the final fight, before kefka appears, you have to fight a random strong monster, in the case his random sprite
is the one of Ultros, then it happens.

You should use an hex editor like HxD to change that byte, still unless you want the change that bad it's better you wait for the next version.

Ah! Okay. I wondered. I never knew about the random strong monster part.
It's been so long since I played FF3/6.
Unless Abyss added that.

Kefka also had an attack called Gun which was also hilarious. Smile
Kefka evolved into the Joker. "Why so serious, Edgar?"

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 09-26-2016

Abyss added it

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 09-26-2016

Okay. So, Abyss, you're very crazy.

So, I've been wondering, is there any item that's barred from the shops as a potential buying option?

I've seen/had genji armor, X-potions, and other high tier stuff.
So, is it possible to get Elixirs?
What about Mega-Elixirs?

Also, I just saw someone miss while trying to use a phoenix down to revive someone. How does that happen?
Never mind, something made that guy have undead status.
How do you revive people with that normally? Doom? Tongue

Haha! The Genji armor gives undead status in the run I'm watching. Now that's funny.

You can't revive undead characters. When they're dead, they're dead.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 09-28-2016

Ah. THat explains that.
At least outside of battle Resurrection works. Smile

Also, apparently, it was the Stunner he had equipped as a weapon, not the Genji Armor making his character undead.
That's a pretty bad Stunner. Smile

Thanks forum software for sending me an e-mail telling me about the above reply 3 hours later.

Okay, I saw something weird.
A character missed being Dischorded, having their level halfed, and then they were killed later by X-Zone.
I'm pretty sure Dischord can't miss unless you're immune to instant death, or have 255 Stamina, or have max magic block.
I mean, I've never seen Dischord miss unless the character is immune to instant death.

And now I saw someone be missed by Quartr who also died from X-Zone.
I guess Dischord can miss, because I know Quartr is affected by magic block.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 09-29-2016

All those 3 spells can miss even without being immune to istant death.
