RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Cecil188 - 01-02-2016 Yeah, what's up with some enemies, abyssonym? Those bears typically do: Turn 1: Attack Turn 2: Attack Turn 3: Special+(Giga Volt or Drain or Blizzard)+(Giga Volt or Aqua Rake or Magnitude 8)+(Giga Volt or Drain or Blizzard)+(Something I can't remember) Repeat. If it weren't for the fact that they have Auto-Runic, I'd be torched by Giga Volt once I run out of MP for X-Zone. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 01-02-2016 That's one of the best thing of BC battles: you never know when a weirdo crosses your road until he suddenly toss you a pile of AI commands RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - abyssonym - 01-03-2016 I think I've seen that AI before. It's Rhyos, from Cave on the Veldt, but with Magnitude 8 instead of Fireball. Rhyos is pretty easy to miss in vanilla but not necessarily in BC. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 02-14-2016 Bad news, Abyss... here's some screenshot about an exploit found from my bro: (speedcave mode) 1) he enters in this exit tile 2) that exit places the character there 3) my bro press up and he's free to travel outside the map RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 02-14-2016 It's like breaking the fourth wall, but in this case you're going behind the scenes. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - abyssonym - 02-22-2016 Oh, yeah, I've seen that mistake before. If I didn't fill in all of the exits in Zozo I was able to walk through walls like that. It would take a lot of effort to check each exit and write down where the player should go, so I just have to cross my fingers and hope players know not to walk around out of bounds without making a save state, haha. Someday I might fix all of the exits but I have a long list of stuff to get through already. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 04-12-2016 Okay, I think you really need to tweak the randomizer a bit more. There's a monster in the cave with Terra before the first save point that attacks with Blizzard. Which does 100 damage. Seems a bit excessive, that. Thankfully, it died from 20 damage. Still, boy that seems a bit overtuned. Side note, Terra is replaced by Edgar, and General Leo replaces Edgar. That's going to be amusing. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Lockirby2 - 04-12-2016 I think that falls into the normal variation of difficulty that can be expected from a randomizer. That area is short anyways, so you can luck out traveling through it anyways. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 04-12-2016 Yeah, or you could be unlucky like me and have to go through 8 save/loads of the same save state trying to get the battle to not instantly start with instant death blizzard. Before the first save point. Do you like having to do the Whelk fight over and over again dozens of times if you don't use save states? I'm just saying, seems a little overtuned. Anyhow, General Leo replaces Edgar, since Edgar is Terra. Celes replaces Sabin. I love the partyparty option what can I say. Kefka is Bannon. Imperial Troops are Naked Terra. Hah. Haha. Shadow is now Relm! Fear the greatest assassin ever, a 12 year old kid. Okay, so, I don't know how the steal line works in the guide. But there's a monster in the Pheonix cave with this as it's steal. STEAL: Paladin Shld, Ashura I'm hoping the Paladin Shield is not the rare one. But I guess it lists the rare first? Also, while it lists the Ribbon in the Colliseum list to bet for something, it apparently doesn't show up at all in the entire game. That seems like the randomizer is really mean today. Despite the potential for never ending Paladin shields with patience. Well, I didn't have to worry about Bannon this time, dude came with the Paladin shield and Minverva equiped, had like 85% evasion and magic evasion. He carried his own in battle because he had sword tech. Oh, uh, the merchants you get to beat up in Locke's quest drop Muscle Belts. Which is very nice. So, what's the reason behind that I wonder? I like it a lot. Also ,the ghosts on the phantom train, spawned with the cursed shield. That was nice. Phantom Train beat me up pretty good this run though. RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 04-13-2016 So, as an update, Cyan was replaced by Vegeta. I think his power level is over 9000! His stats aren't bad either. Mostly the same skills as Cyan though. Just with Jump. |
