Dance? So, he made all your units use Mog's special ability?
Or is it like super confusion?

I'm not sure what you meant and how it would be game over.
And zombifying isn't an issue in my current game.
So, an unstoppable Death is indeed worse.
Maybe Doom Gaze will be nice, and Bahamut will give Vanish.
Also, funny story, he has re-raise on. AGHHHH.
Well, he died, and Bahamut gives me Bolt 3, Ultima, and muddle. Smile Other than muddle, not bad. Smile

Also, saving the game comes at a price at rest stops. Hmm, what does that mean... That's a scary/neat addition.

I'd also like Ancientcave mode to still give me a log file, so I don't have to technically generate the same seed twice to see the changes.

I just wanted to add, I have Asperger's, and well, not only do I mangle social cues, I tend to grate on nerves without meaning to, simply by saying things I think are harmless, or funny, and it goes over really badly. Smile
It's also why I use emoticons a bit much. I just tend to do that. Let me know if I should cut back.

So a random level 5 enemy is being difficult to steal from, with the sneak ring on my thief, who is level 32. Huh. And all it has is a eyedrop.
Oh, I looked up the Stealing formula, the enemies must only have a rare steal.
That would explain it.

Don't worry about it. I'm not annoyed. Sometimes I might not say enough to convey the proper tone, so please bear with me as well. Smile

I'm not sure I ever had a good reason for removing the log file for the cave modes. I think I felt that there was a lot of irrelevant information, that I didn't want to bother removing for the cave modes specifically.

Ah. I see. Fair enough.
I guess it's not a big issue, double generating. Tongue

Healing death: (and full recovery)
1) life -> heal
2) phoenix down -> heal
3) life 2
4) life 3 -> heal

Healing Zombie: (and full recovery)
1) revivify -> heal
PS. the zombie might annoy you meanwhile

Easier to deal with death than zombie: with special both death and zombie are unstoppable

With dance the character starts to behave like mog, don't remember if he use the first dance no matter what or whatever.
Anyway the reason it would lead to death against the final boss is simply because Kefka is immune or absorbs most of the elements, or at least the ones of that dance, since with dance you can't attack, deal only status or elemental damage or heal, that character basically becomes harmless against Kefka and you can't even control him... killing him with your hands is quite annoying, especially if he's resistant: in other words even worse than a dead or a zombie or many other things.

Huh?! So at the end you placed the saves in the ancient/speed caves, Abyss? Sad
That's too bad, it loses part of that roguelike flavor now...
What's the price anyway? a GP tax? i hope it's quite costly.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 07-02-2015

Ah. I see what you meant, Tenkarider!
Yeah, that's annoying.

I'm going to go do a few Ancient Cave runs in the new version. So, I'll be able to figure out what the cost is.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - abyssonym - 07-02-2015

The cost increases the deeper you go. It's the same as the price of the inn, so it gets very steep.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Lockirby2 - 07-02-2015

Although the Zombie specials are also easier to prevent, since they check for immunity. Zombied characters can also tank things, so the effect is diminished if the special attack is used again (it might just hit the same character). Personally I'd consider the instant death special to be more annoying than the Zombie one because of that. Muddle could also be a candidate, as a Muddled character can wipe your party if they are powerful and using something like Ultima or Meteor. But again, it's easier to prevent. Stop is unpreventable, and more difficult to remove, but doesn't require healing afterwards, and it can wear off without intervention eventually.

Personally I still consider death to be the most dangerous of the "normal" effects (i.e., nothing wacky like Dance).

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 07-02-2015

At this point i wonder what's more annoying for Abyssonym...

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 07-02-2015

I think the most annoying thing for anyone would be a plague of monkeys. Smile

Or Doom Gaze with Re-raise. Tongue

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 07-02-2015

Weird... it looks like an unordinary thing to you life 3 on bosses...

in my run almost all strong bosses started with Life 3 Tongue
