Huh? He naturally has Ice Rabbit... really? Never witnessed him casting that spell...

Not sure what's up with Number 024's AI. Yesterday I saw a guy fighting him, and he wouldn't stop spamming Sunbath. There's no real elegant way to nerf him... the Magitek Facility is a boss rush of four bosses in a row, so one of them is bound to give you trouble. I'm more worried about Number 128, because there's no way to grind if you save before him. But yeah, there's a good chance you can shut Number 024 down completely with a status effect.

As for 4x skills... yeah, I really should remove them from BC, because they're super glitchy. But I stubbornly made them more uncommon instead. They're pretty cool when they're on something like 4xBless.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 06-26-2015

I didn't know he naturally casted Ice Rabbit either.

I feel a little silly now because I didn't know he was weak to any status ailments.

Number 128 was a ton more easier, only the Cranes were dangerous, since they both casted Bolt 2 right off the bat.

Funnily enough, Mythril helmets give absorb thunder, and weakpoint thunder.
So, the few people who can wear that helmet are less exploded by lightning. Smile

But yeah, I'll keep the status weakness in mind for any future trolling boss.
I do know, according to the text file generated, there's going to be a monster in a box in the WoR with 4 ice dragons. :O

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 06-26-2015

Rejoice! that means you have an incredible opportunity to farm max tier stuff 4 times!
In BC Ice Dragon always have stuff like Cursed/Paladin Shield, Illumina, Atma, Ragnarok, Genji gears, Offering or similars as steal/drop!! Kungfu!

Oh, a suggestion: when you deal with 4 Ice Dragons, since they are all bosses and so dies as a boss, you should finish all 4 the Ice Dragons with a single AoE blow, or the others won't drop their loot. Wink

Yeah, Number 024 doesn't start using those spells until after a time limit has passed. After a while, he'll start to say "System Error" and use Sunbath, Ice Rabbit, or Scan on himself. And most people kill him before the time limit has passed.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 06-26-2015

Well, in my playthrough, he used Ice Rabbit all the time. Not just after that system error message. Smile

So, I played this game a lot further, got past the esper dreamworld flashback, I can't be the only one who doesn't like that part, right?

I got Golem and Zoneseek, Zoneseek was not disappointing. Smile

I ran into an enemy on the way to the sealed cave called Adheallr.
Apparently, it lives up to it's name, since it casts cure, cure 2, and remedy on your party.

It also hits like a truck.

Kind Edgar looks like Gau, which is amusing, but for some reason, he has Gau's can't wear weapons thing. Smile

He totally is good for magic though.
Oh, and he also seems to be a glass cannon. Smile

Okay, I need to mention that sometimes I have certain enemies that have auto-critical hit abilities. Why is this a thing?
No, really, why?
This one ememy, it says it has auto: imp status, it's called a Cubeli, has 1700 or so health, and I'm wondering what gives it the 100% chance to crit?
Here is it's stats, according to the text file. "~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cubeli (Level 29)
/----------------------------------\

| MP: 112 | DEF: 116 | HIT: 114 |

| GP: 743 | MDEF: 174 | MBLK: 0 |
\----------------------------------/
NULLIFY: fire, bio; WEAK: wind
IMMUNE: blind, slow
AUTO: imp
SPECIAL "Baba Song": damage + mp drain
SKILLS: Virite

CONTROL: Baba Song, Baba Song, Battle, Virite
STEAL: Magus Hat
DROPS:
MORPH (50%): Cards, Diamond Shld, Genji Shld, Wall Ring
LOCATION: Figaro Castle Basement, South Figaro Cave (WoR)"

It also shows up in the Sealed cave.

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - Tenkarider - 06-26-2015

There's a flag among the other options for monsters which is labeled as:
"100% critical if Imp" Self-explanatory...

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 06-26-2015

Well, that does explain it. Smile

At least it's not as annoying as Number 24 being addicted to healing spells, and it can be morphed later.
Sadly, only two of my people can wear the awesome Genji Armor. That makes me sad. Sad
At the moment anyway.

I was talking about vanilla. In Beyond Chaos all bets are off. Tongue

RE: Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer) - DavidB1111 - 06-27-2015

Oh, right, D'oh! Call me Ultros. Tongue

Something interesting to report, my Strago, who looks like Sabin, learned Ultima at level 24.
I have no complaints, but it was weird, because it stated in the text file he gets it at level 88.

Also, I checked all his gear, and he wasn't wearing anything that teaches Ultima.

I am also happy he can use the Economizer for obvious reasons.

Edited this Today:
Okay, I'm now into the WoR.
I have to admit, I'm not happy with this graphical tearing bug while wandering on the World Map now.
Ow.
No, really, if you guys have any tips for fixing this tearing, let me know.

But when I walk, the graphics freak out like crazy on the map.
It's purple WoR. if that helps any. Smile

I can play, but it's going to start hurting my eyes.

Okay, I'm up to the Tentacles, I didn't know they were allowed to all have a special attack that casts slow and removes haste.

Okay, I'm all the way up to Mt. Zozo now.
I"m being trolled by the stupid lazy attack that instantly kills you and can't be blocked by any death immunity.

I don't know, but vanish on everyone seems to be the only way to stop them.
Can you please make the randomizer only give that to enemies inthe final dungeon, or at the very least, only one enemy in the entire game.
Because there is like only one in the base game, that Samurai guy in the final dungeon.
Having more than one is just mean.

THere seems to be 2 or 3 different enemies with instant death. I think that's a bit excessive.

Also, the Ice dragon and the Holy, White Dragon switched places. Randomizer got drunk I guess. Oh the White Dragon has a magic power of 1!
Bwahahaha! I was wondering why pearl did like 300 to 500 damage.

Most of these edits have been over a few days, I've been playing it a bunch, and I figure editing this is better than multiple posts. Smile

Okay, funnily enough, the ice dragon replaces the Earth dragon.
